The Woman in the Yard is set to bring chills and mystery when it makes its streaming debut on Peacock.
The horror film stars SAG and BAFTA nominated actress Danielle Deadwyler alongside Okwui Okpokwasili, Peyton Jackson, and Russell Hornsby.
The Blumhouse and Universal Pictures release follows Ramona (Deadwyler), a wife and mother who survives a deadly car accident that kills her husband (Hornsby).
As she tries to care for their two children at the family’s rural farmhouse, Ramona starts to notice a mysterious woman in black standing in the yard. When the sightings grow more frequent, it becomes clear this visitor is not there by accident, and her presence is anything but harmless.

The film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Black Adam) and written by Sam Stefanak.
The thriller opened in theaters on March 28 with little marketing. Yet it debuted in the Top 5 after earning $9.3 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
During its domestic box office run, the thriller made just over $22.4 million, and nearly doubled its reported $12 million production budget, despite the lack of a major promotional push.
As previously reported, moviegoers who saw the thriller only gave it a “C-” CinemaScore in exit polling.
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, critics handed the film a disappointing 40 percent score out of 100. Still, many critics praised Deadwyler’s acting in the film.
“The Woman in the Yard is gorgeously shot and features an excellent performance from Danielle Deadwyler,” wrote Collider‘s Jeff Ewing.
The horror movie was produced by Jason Blum and Stephanie Allain, with executive producers including Danielle Deadwyler, Jaume Collet-Serra, and Gabrielle Ebron.
The Woman in the Yard starts streaming June 27, per Peacock.
