After people in multiple countries received an offensive email on Monday from Walmart, the retail giant issued an apology letter to those who received the shocking email.

“I am reaching out to let you know we are very sorry that you received an offensive and unacceptable email. We discovered that someone outside the company created false Walmart accounts with the intent to offend our customers,” Walmart’s Chief Customer Officer Janey Whiteside said in a letter  obtained by Baller Alert on Tuesday. “We are working to update the account sign-up process to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen again. Please know that no other activity took place on Walmart.com and that this account will be deleted.”

As previously reported, someone used real email addresses to register people for Walmart accounts, and then each person the address belonged to received an email welcoming them to the Walmart customer base, with the N-word replacing their name.

The email, which went out Monday, said: “Welcome to Walmart, ni–er.”

Walmart told Urban Hollywood 411 the culprits obtained email addresses, possibly from the dark web, and used them to sign people up for Walmart accounts who had not previously registered on the company’s website.
