Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has borrowed a lyric from Pusha T — and the rapper approves.
The country’s defense department, which has over one million Twitter followers, posted a chart on Wednesday U.S. time detailing Russian losses since the country’s troops invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.

The viral tweet listed what the Ukrainian government claims are “total combat losses” by Russia, including more than 51,000 Russian military personnel.
The post included the caption: “I put numbers on the boards – @Pusha_T,” noting that the phrase was taken from the Virginia rapper’s 2013 track “Numbers On The Boards.”
Pusha T, real name Terrence LeVarr Thornton, reacted to the post by retweeting it with a caption that read: “Great taste in music for the win.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion calling it a “special military operation.”
Last month NPR published a six-month analysis of the war, saying 13 million Ukrainians had been displaced, and tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians have probably been killed.
The invasion has received widespread international condemnation and caused a massive humanitarian crisis. As of Sept. 7, more than 7.1 million refugees from Ukraine have fled their homes and crossed into other parts of Europe, according to the United Nations.
