Tyra Banks is among a growing number of people who lost their homes in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The supermodel and entrepreneur, who was born in Inglewood, California, currently splits her time between Australia and New York.
During a recent appearance on Australian morning show Sunrise, Banks shared that she lost a home in the LA fires.
“I’m one of them,” Banks said when asked if she knew anyone whose home burned in the fires. “Yes, I lost my house.”

The former America’s Next Top Model host and executive producer said she had been hesitant to talk about the loss publicly.
“I just didn’t want to pull a lot of attention to me. I feel that there’s a lot of people that need that attention,” she explained. “But I can’t sit here and not tell the truth, that, yeah, we lost our house.”
Banks was on the show to promote her ice cream brand, SMiZE & Dream, as she prepares to open a shop in Sydney.
However, the interview began with the hosts asking how her loved ones in Los Angeles were doing with the fires, which have made international headlines.
Banks, 51, said she became emotional when she learned the house had been destroyed, but “pulled it together.”
Fortunately, she said most of her sentimental items are located at her other homes. Still, she admitted the experience of losing a house has been challenging. “It’s tough,” she said.
Thousands of people have been displaced by the wildfires, which have affected communities across Los Angeles County, from affluent neighborhoods to working-class Black and brown areas.
Other celebrities who have lost homes include Bozoma Saint John, Jhené Aiko, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Mandy Moore, and Paris Hilton.
As of Friday, at least 27 people have died, more than 15,000 structures — including homes and businesses — have been destroyed, and 63 square miles have burned, according to the Los Angeles Times.
