Senior shoppers at dozens of grocery stores across Louisiana and in the Atlanta area got a surprise Wednesday, when they found out Tyler Perry was picking up the tab.

Perry paid the grocery bills for shoppers at 29 Winn-Dixie stores in his native Louisiana and at 44 Kroger locations in his hometown of Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The entertainment mogul’s act of kindness took place during “senior hours” at the stores, when older residents who are more susceptible to coronavirus are able to shop alone.

Another woman thanked Perry for blessing her mother at a Winn-Dixie in Louisiana.

“My mom went to Winn Dixie this morning and as she went to check out they told her that Tyler Perry was paying for everyone in the stores groceries!! What a blessing he is!!! @tylerperry,” she tweeted.

This isn’t Perry’s only act of kindness during the COVID-19 outbreak. According to published reports, he recently left $21,000 in tips for workers at a Houston’s restaurant in the Atlanta area while picking up a takeout order.
