President Trump unleashed a new Twitter attack Monday on former Apprentice star and White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, calling her “vicious,” and saying she was “hated” by other members of his administration.
“Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will,” Trump tweeted. “She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart.”

In a second tweet, the president said Manigault Newman was “nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work.”
He added that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly thought Omarosa was a “loser.”
“When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems,” Trump tweeted. “I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me – until she got fired!”

Trump wasn’t finished.
In a third tweet, he said he would rather not take on a “lowlife” like Omarosa because it’s “not presidential.” But, he said Twitter is a “modern day form of communication” and besides, “the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible.”
He ended the message by saying: “Sorry!”
While I know it’s “not presidential” to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible. Sorry!

The president’s tweets came shortly after Omarosa released another secretly recorded conversation, this time with Trump. During an appearance on the Today show to promote her new book Unhinged, she said Trump claimed to have no idea Kelly had let her go.
“Omarosa, what’s going on? I just saw in the news you’re thinking about leaving. What happened?” Trump can be heard saying on the call.
“Gen. Kelly – Gen. Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave,” she answered.
“No. Nobody even told me about it,” Trump responded. “You know, they run a big operation but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that. God dammit! I don’t love you leaving at all.”

During the contentious interview, Omarosa told Today co-host Savannah Guthrie Trump has “no clue” what’s going on in the White House.
“Is General Kelly puppeting Donald Trump? Is he truly running this country instead of the president?” Omarosa asked rhetorically.
The former communications director for the White House Office of Public Liaison has been on a media blitz promoting her memoir, which will be released tomorrow.
On Sunday, she sat down with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press and released a secret recording of Kelly firing her in the White House Situation Room.
