Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. Evelyn Braxton are returning to WE tv and they have a lot to share on their new series titled The Braxtons.
In the trailer released July 10, the women discuss why they decided to return to reality TV.
“Being a Braxton is my legacy, it’s my birthright,” Tamar says
The preview shows the family members dealing with heartbreak following the death of Traci Braxton, who died at age 50 in March 2022.
“I just lost a child,” an emotional Evelyn says in the trailer.

Later in the video, Toni prepares for her Las Vegas residency after dealing with serious health challenges.
“Just a few months ago, I had a major scare involving my heart,” she says.
Comedian Cedric the Entertainer and veteran actress Marla Gibbs also make appearances in the preview.
WE tv announced the series on Feb. 6. It comes nearly four years after the family’s hit program, Braxton Family Values, ended after a seven-season run on the network in December 2020.
On the new show, the women “reunite for the first time since the loss of their beloved sister, Traci, offering viewers a raw and unfiltered look at the family’s highs and lows across eight captivating episodes,” according to the official description.
The series is executive produced by Tara Long, Ri-Karlo Handy, Oji Singletary and Michelle Kongkasuwan for Blink49 alongside Datari Turner for Datari Turner Productions. Toni, Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Evelyn Braxton also serve as executive producers.
The Braxtons premieres with a special commercial-free event on Friday, Aug. 9 at 9:30pm ET on WE tv and streams on ALLBlk.
