Final episodes of Tyler Perry’s long-running series The Haves and the Have Nots will premiere this summer on OWN, the network said this week.

The drama, which chronicles the scandalous lives of the Cryer, Harrington and Young families in Savannah, Georgia, is ending after eight seasons and 196 episodes, OWN previously announced in January.

The Haves and the Have Nots was the network’s first scripted drama when it premiered in 2013. The series stars John Schneider, Tika Sumpter, Angela Robinson, Renee Lawless, Crystal Fox, Peter Parros, Tyler Lepley, Gavin Houston, Aaron O’Connell, Brett Davis and Brock Yurich.

In a new promo video, the last episodes are described as “the fatal final season.”

Here’s the official description: “Viewers will see the wealthy residents of Savannah, Georgia involved in a true-to-life Greek tragedy as Judge Jim Cryer (John Schneider) and his rich friends are all finding out what happens when personal flaws go unchecked. Karma has not been kind to the elite one percenters.”

The drama averaged more than 3.1 million viewers each year from 2014 to 2017. This year, it’s the most-watched cable series on TV with African American Women over age 18, in both households and total viewers.

Produced for OWN by Tyler Perry Studios, the series is created, written and executive produced by Tyler Perry.

The final episodes of The Haves and the Have Nots premiere Tuesday, June 1 on OWN at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
