Reality TV veteran Tami Roman has entered the conversation after Real Housewives of Atlanta star Drew Sidora’s salary details were revealed this week in court documents.

Drew finalized her contentious divorce from ex-husband Ralph Pittman on Monday, June 8. The actress, singer, and reality star’s financial information was included in the court filing, which said she was paid $26,000 per episode to film the current season of RHOA.

TMZ reviewed the documents and published a report about Drew’s salary. The outlet included an itemized list of her income from Bravo, acting residuals, and music royalties.

The story went viral and fans began to chime in online, with some saying Drew should be making more money — since she joined the Bravo series in 2020 for season 13.

Tami said she read stories about Drew’s pay on “the blogs.” The Basketball Wives and The Real World alum said it was “unfortunate” the information leaked online, and called out internet users for making fun of the RHOA star.

“I’m nosy, so I went to the comments, and there were people saying, ‘Oh my God, that’s so low.’ ‘She ain’t hardly making no money,'” Tami explained.

She pushed back on criticism of Drew’s pay and shared a personal story in a video she posted to the Instagram page for her “Bonnet Chronicles” web series.

“I’m gonna tell y’all something. When I started on Basketball Wives, I think it was 2010, I was making $2,500 an episode,” she said. “I was still working my everyday job at Morgan Stanley, and I was flying down [to Miami] on the weekends — for $2,500 an episode.”

Tami noted that she was given raises over the years and earned much more than $2,500 when she left the show in 2019. Still, she said $26,000 an episode is a nice paycheck.

“I just want to say, it’s not a lot of people that’s making $26,000 that are in the reality TV space,” she said. “And the Real Housewives, they get about 24 to 26 episodes.”

In a 2022 podcast interview, Tami said she left VH1’s Basketball Wives because the atmosphere behind the scenes had become toxic and she felt “betrayed” by the producers. She is now an actress, content creator, and hosts BET’s Caught in the Act: Unfaithful.

Tami ended her video by offering words of encouragement to Drew.

“Drew, in the event you were feeling minimized or people were making you feel a way, girl get your paper. Girl, get your coin,” she said.
