The man suspected of fatally shooting Atlanta rapper Trouble has surrendered and is being held without bond.

Jamichael Jones, 33, turned himself in on Tuesday morning and was arrested “without incident,” CNN reported.

Jones is being held on home invasion, felony murder and aggravated assault charges. He was denied bond by a judge in Rockdale County Magistrate Court, according to local television station WXIA 11Alive.

Trouble, real name Mariel Semonté Orr, was shot and killed on June 5, while visiting a female friend at an apartment complex in Conyers, Georgia.

WXIA obtained a copy of the arrest warrant for Jones, which said he recently dated the woman Trouble was visiting. The warrant  says Jones punched the woman in the face before opening fire on Trouble around 3:20 a.m.

The woman told deputies she was asleep in her bed with the rapper and “woke up to her ex-boyfriend, Mr. Jamichael Jones, punching her in the face,” the warrant states.

Trouble, 34, tried to defend the woman and began fighting with Jones who “pulled out a handgun and shot Mr. Orr (Trouble) and left the scene,” according to the warrant. The rapper suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

The woman said she broke up with Jones a week earlier, after three years of dating. She said she decided to end the relationship when he hit her during an argument about “him not having a job and not helping her pay the bills.” The woman called 911 but did not file a police report because Jones fled the scene.
