Spencer Pratt appeared to concede defeat in the Los Angeles mayoral election, but the former reality star said his battle with Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman will continue.

Pratt posted a defiant video to social media on Friday, June 12, declaring “war” on the two Democrats, who beat him in the June 2 primary and advanced to the general election.

In his three-minute video, titled “Saving LA – Phase III,” The Hills star called Bass and Raman “morons” and claimed he is now focused on uncovering political corruption.

“I didn’t get in this for political power, I got in this to expose this corrupt machine and nothing’s changed,” Pratt said. “And now I don’t have to worry about offending CNN viewers. I don’t have a campaign to hamstring me now. It’s war.”

The Republican insisted the city of L.A. is headed into “the abyss” with Bass or Raman in power.

“Angelenos are now stuck with two morons responsible for all their problems and they have to choose between dumb and dumber … The city will tumble headlong into the abyss,” Pratt said.

He continued by saying he obtained evidence that could topple one of the two Democrats, without providing evidence to back up his claim.

“We have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame,” Pratt said. “So, Karen, Nithya, ask yourself is it possible that one of your employees may have a recording of you doing or saying something that would force you to resign in disgrace? Hope you sleep well at night over the next five months.”

Pratt said he spoke with business leaders and entrepreneurs during the campaign, and claimed some of them are so fed up that they plan to leave the city.

“That means the city has to cut services. More potholes, less firefighters, less police patrols, more criminals, more drug addicts terrorizing your communities,” Pratt said.

Raman declared victory on Monday after expanding her lead over Pratt in the race for a spot in the runoff against Bass.

The progressive Democrat made the announcement following Monday’s vote count by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, which showed she had 28.5% of the vote, compared with Pratt’s 25.8%.

The reality star led Raman immediately after the primary, but as more mail-in ballots arrived over the weekend, the councilwoman surged ahead. If elected, Raman said she will “fight for a healthier, safer, more affordable, and more joyful Los Angeles.”
