Updated on Friday, April 10, at 11:58 p.m. PT: Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Shereé Whitfield’s mother has been found safe after she disappeared two weeks ago. Whitfield shared the news Friday night on Instagram. “Thank you for all the prayers. They worked!” she wrote. “My mom has been found safe and healthy. She is with family now. I couldn’t have gotten through this without all of your support! God is good!”

Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Shereé Whitfield says her mother, Thelma Ferguson, has been missing for weeks.
Whitfield took to Instagram Wednesday to share that police are searching for the 77 year old.
“Please keep my mom and my family in your prayers! We all know that prayers can move mountains!!!” Whitfield began. “I was hesitant to post my concerns for my mother’s safe return because, although I have been in close contact with the police for the past two weeks, I’m also pretty private when it comes to my family.”

As the family waits for word, Whitfield said they are turning to their faith. “Right now we are leaning on God and staying positive and prayerful for her safe return home,” she wrote.

A day later, she said she was overwhelmed by the support that continues to pour in since her initial post.
“I truly appreciate the outpouring of love, support and prayers for my mother’s safe return home,” she shared on Instagram Thursday night.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Ferguson was last seen on March 23 after leaving her home in Sandy Springs , Georgia, to go to the bank. She was wearing gray pants and a black shirt and driving a gray 2009 Honda Accord with Georgia license plate RMZ5773.
Police told the paper the 77 year old has no known medical issues. Anyone with information was asked to call Sandy Springs police at 770-551-6923.
