Scott Evans has been upped to full-time hosting duties at NBC-produced entertainment news program, Access Live, NBCUniversal announced Wednesday.
Evans joined the daily, one-hour syndicated show as a correspondent in 2015. He will now co-host alongside current anchors Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover.
“From his very first day at ‘Access,’ Scott has proven to be an invaluable asset to our team,” Rob Silverstein,
executive producer of Access and Access Live, said in a statement. “His talent, dynamic personality and ability to connect with A-level celebrities make his full-time addition to the ‘Access Live’ family seamless. It’s a well-deserved promotion.”
Before joining Access Live, Evans served as a host for the Indiana Pacers and the WNBA’s Indiana Fever home games. He has also worked as a reporter at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, One Minute News in Los Angeles and as an anchor for Channel One News in New York.
A spinoff of Access (previously Access Hollywood), Access Live debuted in 2010. The show is produced by NBC Subsidiary (KNBC-TV), Inc. and distributed by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
In addition to Silverstein, the senior production team at Access Live includes senior producers Claudia Eaton and Mike Marson, supervising producer Ryan Patterson and coordinating producer Stephen Harding. The show tapes in Universal City, Calif.
Scott Evans thinks he is so funny. When he laughs, which is every time he opens his mouth, he looks so retarded. He needs to bring his actions down a notch, from his laugh to his hand clapping to his dancing in his seat. It’s obvious he is trying to get as much attention as he can, he is so obnoxious. He needs to take a lesson from Natalie and Kit and act a little more professional!
Interesting.
