Ray J says he continues to suffer health problems after being released from a hospital.
The “Sexy Can I” singer was hospitalized in Las Vegas on Jan. 6, after experiencing chest pains and pneumonia. Now the singer says his heart is not functioning properly.
“My heart’s only beating like 25 percent,” he said in a video posted to Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 25. “But as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right.”
He added: “My health is not okay. So I thank everybody supporting and praying for me through the health and through everything I’ve been in the hospital.”
Last week the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star posted a video on Instagram, saying he was planning to make changes in his life following his hospitalization, a recent arrest, getting banned by Twitch, and feuding with Diddy’s sons after publicly making disparaging comments about the now-imprisoned music mogul.
Ray J, who was born William Ray Norwood Jr., was previously hospitalized with pneumonia in 2021 and struggled to breathe, TMZ reported.
As he battles his latest health problems, he said he is trying to stay positive and announced plans to produce several reality dating shows for a streaming service called Tronix in partnership with Zeus Network.
“Big announcements are on the way. Tronix Network is back in full effect,” he said in Sunday’s video. “Tronix Network will be a full dating show network for the next 6 months. We’re doing uh 25 dating shows with the hottest artists out.”
Ray J first launched Tronix in 2024, but the platform ran into financial and legal troubles. He has described Tronix as “digital ratchet reality TV that’s at the cutting edge.”
He didn’t say when the new shows will start streaming.
