The competition for best holiday decorations is fierce in the trailer for the upcoming BET+ movie, Queens of Christmas.
The original film stars Essence Atkins, Terri J. Vaughn, and Vanessa Bell Calloway as neighbors competing to be crowned “queen of Christmas.”
Nancy (Atkins) is the reigning champion. Unmarried with no children, she’s been winning the competition for few years. Doris (Vaughn) and Julia (Bell Calloway) are both happily married with college age daughters, and both want a chance to savor victory.
“Shouldn’t you two be at home decorating your dilapidated yards,” Nancys tells her neighbors in the trailer.
“I know this is supposed to be a friendly Christmas competition, but Nancy, she can’t win again!” Julia says.
