Starz is going back in time with “Part of the Game,” the theme song for its upcoming prequel series Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

On Monday the premium cable net dropped the music video for the track, performed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, featuring NLE Choppa with background vocals from Rileyy Lanez.

The single has a throwback vibe and includes a sample of Keni Burke’s 1982 single “Risin’ To The Top.”

The video features first-look clips from the series, including shots of the streets from 1990s Jamaica, Queens in New York. 50 Cent can be seen rapping and cruising in a ‘90s era BMW convertible while wearing the decade’s popular bucket hat.

The Power producer and actor played Kanan in the original series, and now his younger version is featured in the prequel to tell the story of why he was eventually shot and killed.

The show is the second Power spin-off after Power Book II: Ghost. This time the younger version of Kanan will be played by Mekai Curtis (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day).

The rest of the cast includes Patina Miller (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay), Omar Epps (Love & Basketball), London Brown (Ballers), Malcolm Mays (Rebel), Shanley Caswell (The Conjuring), Lovie Simone (Greenleaf), Toby Sandeman (She’s Gotta Have It), Joey Bada$$ (Mr. Robot) and Hailey Kilgore (The Village).

Power Book III: Raising Kanan premieres in summer 2021. The series is executive produced by Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent.
