Ray Donovan actor Marion “Pooch” Hall will avoid jail time after reaching a plea deal in his DUI and child endangerment case.

Hall pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of driving with a blood alcohol level of over .08 percent and a felony child endangerment charge, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said Tuesday.

As Urban Hollywood 411 previously reported, Hall was arrested in October 2018 on suspicion of driving under the influence and endangering the life of his two-year-old son.

The charges stemmed from an Oct. 3 traffic collision in Burbank, Calif. Police said the actor was driving around with his son in his lap, when he crashed his Chrysler 300 sedan into a parked car.

Witnesses told officers they spotted a man weaving in and out of traffic. They also reported seeing a toddler’s hands on the steering wheel.

He was arrested, and later released on $100,000 bond. If was Hall would have faced up to six years in state prison.

Hall plays Ray Donovan star Liev Schreiber’s half-brother, Daryll Donovan, on the Showtime series. Before this role, Hall rose to prominence as Derwin Davis on BET’s The Game.

After reaching a deal with prosecutors, Hall has now been sentenced to three years of probation. He was also ordered to complete a three-month residential alcohol treatment program, had his driver’s license suspended for six months, and must attend one year of parenting classes.
