Freddie Lee Trone, the third suspect in the shooting death of rapper PnB Rock, was arrested Thursday after two weeks on the run.

Trone was taken into custody around 1 p.m. in Las Vegas by a task force made up of officers and agents from the FBI, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Henderson Police Department.

Los Angeles police said in a news release Trone was booked in Las Vegas and is pending extradition to L.A.

The arrest came on the same day the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Trone, his teenage son, and a woman named Shauntel Trone in connection with the Sept. 12 killing of PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen.

Freddie Lee Trone, 40, was charged with one count of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery. The 17-year-old boy, whose name was withheld because he is a minor, was charged with one count each of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery. Shauntel Trone, 38, faces one count of accessory after the fact.

“The murder of Mr. Allen dimmed a bright light in the lives of his fans, friends and most importantly his family,” District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement Thursday. “The accused individuals’ alleged actions in this case were heartless and cruel and robbed the world of Mr. Allen’s talents.”

Los Angeles news station ABC7 reported the woman is the teenage suspect’s stepmother.

The teenager made his initial court appearance Thursday in L.A. and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 19 for a pretrial hearing.

PnB Rock was robbed of his jewelry and fatally shot at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in South L.A., while he had lunch with his girlfriend.

Police said a male suspect walked up to the couple, drew a handgun, demanded jewelry, and shot the rapper after an argument. Rock died shortly after he was transported to an area hospital.

The shooting happened in front of startled diners and was captured on the restaurant’s video surveillance system.

The teenager and the 38-year-old woman were taken into custody Wednesday in separate locations in the suburbs outside Los Angeles.

TMZ and Fox 11 news reported the teenager allegedly pulled the trigger and his dad drove the getaway car. The father and son are alleged to have burned the vehicle after the crime.

The rapper’s girlfriend has been criticized for posting a location-tagged photo of her meal on Instagram and tagging Rock in a since-deleted post, potentially drawing robbers to the location. However, Fox 11 and TMZ both reported that the father and son were in the Roscoe’s parking lot and saw the couple arrive.
