Pitbull Drops New Single To Benefit Coronavirus Relief

Pitbull is using his voice to raise money for coronavirus relief.

The Miami rapper known to fans as “Mr. Worldwide” released an uplifting single Monday titled “I Believe That We Will Win” about the global pandemic.

The song features the popular sports chant “I believe that we will win,” and includes the lyrics: “You know what spreads faster than any virus? Is fear/And when it comes to fear, you can either forget everything and run, or you can face everything and rise.”

Pitbull says all proceeds from the track will go to charities that provide COVID-19 relief.

In an interview with Billboard, the chart-topping performer said a close friend sent him the beat, which led him to pen the song.

“He told me, ‘Hey, I made a beat to this’ and I thought it was crazy that he was showing it to me because it was literally when the lockdown started and I told him, ‘Man, this is what the world needs right now’,” Pitbull explained. “I knocked out the record within a day and a half and by the third day, we were ready to put out the snippet for everybody because I felt that that message is needed right now more than ever.”

The song was released in collaboration with Saban Music Group, and will benefit Feeding America and the Tony Robbins Foundation.

Pitbull is also asking fans to help. He posted a message on Instagram inviting people across the globe to send in videos of themselves singing the sports chant so they can be included in the upcoming music video. Fans can upload their videos at believeanthem2020.com.
