Nipsey Hussle will be posthumously honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recently made the announcement, saying the late rapper is among the class of 2022 inductees who will receive stars.

The rapper and entrepreneur, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, is one of 38 entertainers chosen in the categories of motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, radio, recording, and sports entertainment.
“The selection panel, made up of fellow Walk of Famers, hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world,” Walk of Fame Chair Ellen K said in a statement. “The Panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people.”
Late Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher is also among the 2022 class of inductees.
Other honorees include Michael B. Jordan, Regina King, Tessa Thompson, Byron Allen, Holly Robinson-Peete, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kenan Thompson, the Black Eyed Peas, George E. Clinton Jr., Ashanti, DJ Khaled, Avril Martha Reeves, Michael Strahan, and Salma Hayek. Plus, Francis Ford Coppola, Macaulay Culkin, Willem Dafoe, James Hong, Ricky Gervais, Norman Reedus, and Helen Hunt.
Honorees or their representatives have up to two years to schedule a star ceremony.
Hussle, a beloved rapper and activist, was fatally shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles in 2019.
Following his death, he has received multiple posthumous awards including a Grammy last year for “Higher” for Best Rap/Sung Performance, and another award during the Grammys pre-show ceremony in the Best Rap Performance category for “Racks in the Middle” featuring Roddy Ricch & Hit-Boy.
