Nick Cannon revealed Friday evening on Instagram that he’s in the hospital recovering from pneumonia.

The actor and TV host posted two pictures of himself resting in a hospital bed and urged his followers to take care of themselves.

“Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman… I promised myself I would never be back at this place again… But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won’t be able to take care of everyone else,” he captioned the post. “Don’t trip though, I don’t need any well wishes or prayers, just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever… it’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle.”

Cannon said the night before he was at Madison Square Garden in New York City for a sold-out stop of the Wild ‘n Out tour.

“Now I’m all alone in a tiny hospital room. Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior,” he added.

Cannon, 42, has been open about his health problems. He recently sat down for an interview with the upcoming Paramount+ docuseries, The Checkup With Dr. David Agus and discussed the death of his infant son Zen last year, as well as his own near-death experience with lupus, a serious autoimmune disease.

Earlier this year, the soon-to-be father-of-12 said on his talk show — which has since been canceled — that he’s been living with lupus for a decade.

“Ten years ago, I experienced a sudden and mysterious illness that almost took my life,” Cannon said via Entertainment Tonight. “At the time, I had no idea it was lupus. And, you know me, I always have to have a camera on. So, I would literally open up my phone, grab my camera and I would talk to the camera, and I documented the entire health journey.”

He was previously hospitalized for complications of lupus in December 2016.
