Kevin Hart will feel the burn at the latest Netflix roast.
The streaming giant announced Friday, the actor and comedian will be the target of a live roast on May 10.
Hart led the insults as host of The Roast of Tom Brady in May 2024, which topped the streamer’s English-language TV chart, and brought in 19.2 million global views.
Now, it’s time for the actor and comedian to take a turn in the hot seat.
Fellow comic and brief Saturday Night Live cast member Shane Gillis will host the roast from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, as part of this year’s Netflix Is A Joke Festival.
Hart is best known to fans for his stand-up specials and movie roles, including in the hit Ride Along and Jumanji franchises.
He’s no stranger to tabloid writers, either.
The superstar comic and entrepreneur aired out his own dirty laundry in the 2019 Netflix docuseries Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up — about turmoil in his career and marriage to wife Eniko Hart.
There was also a bizarre car crash in 2019, that left him and two others injured, after a friend driving the comedian’s Plymouth Barracuda plowed through a wooden fence, rolled over, and landed in a ditch.
His short-lived Oscars hosting gig dominated the headlines in 2018. For those keeping score, the film Academy announced Hart would host in December 2018, then two days later he was out amid backlash over past social media posts.
And in 2023, he sued former assistant Miesha Shakes and celebrity blogger Tasha K, claiming defamation and extortion after Shakes made bombshell claims in an interview with the YouTuber. In February 2025, The Blast reported Hart made an “unconditional deal” with the two and was dropping the lawsuit.
In short, the comics who join the roast will have plenty of spicy material to work with.
