The cause of death was released Friday for Nashawn Breedlove, a rapper who played the character Lotto in 8 Mile.
Breedlove died on Sept. 24, from acute intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol, according to the autopsy report obtained by People from New Jersey’s Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner.
The coroner ruled Breedlove’s death was accidental.
The rapper passed away in his sleep at his home in New Jersey, TMZ reported at the time. He was 46.

The hip-hop star’s mother confirmed his death in a since-deleted tribute post on Facebook.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved son Nashawn Breedlove’s passing,” she wrote, as previously reported. “Nashawn was a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. No one could deny his talent. Nashawn’s departure from this world has left an immense void in my life, one that words cannot fully express.”
Breedlove was featured in a scene battle-rapping Eminem in the award-winning 2002 film. The movie was inspired by Eminem’s life and also starred Mekhi Phifer, Brittany Murphy, Michael Shannon, Anthony Mackie, and Kim Basinger.
Before landing a role in 8 mile, Breedlove rapped under the stage name OX.
His song “Don’t Talk Sh-t” was featured on the soundtrack for the 2001 comedy film The Wash, starring Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
