Michelle Williams is calling it quits on her engagement to Pastor Chad Johnson.
Williams broke the news via her Instagram Stories Friday, sharing with fans that “things didn’t work out” between the two. The Destiny’s Child alum revealed the breakup on the same day as she released her new single, Fearless.
“I still remain fearless,” she wrote. “I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out.”
The 38-year-old singer added, “The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS.”

The exes met in March 2017 at an Arizona-based spiritual retreat run by sports chaplain Johnson, 40. After bonding over their shared faith, the two got engaged in April of this year.
In September, the pair landed an OWN reality series titled Chad Loves Michelle. The series premiered on Friday, Nov. 9 with Johnson and Williams serving as co-executive producers.
Each episode follows the now exes as they deal with real issues, including pre-marital counseling sessions, and Williams’ battle with mental health issues.
The two said they had planned on waiting until after marriage to consummate their relationship, a topic that was addressed in the Friday, Dec. 7 episode of the show.
Johnson has yet to comment on the split.
