As Sean “Diddy” Combs counts down the days until his release from federal prison, Los Angeles County prosecutors are reviewing new sexual assault allegations against the mogul and could potentially bring new criminal charges.
Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department presented separate cases to prosecutors last year, according to a statement the district attorney’s office provided to NBC News this week.
“In the fall of 2025, LAPD and LASD each presented a separate sexual assault investigation for one victim to the LA County District Attorney’s Office,” a spokesperson from the DA’s office shared. “We are reviewing the case.”
The investigation was prompted by a police report filed by publicist and music producer Jonathan Hay in his hometown of Largo, Florida in September 2025, after Diddy’s federal trial concluded.
The case was referred to authorities in Los Angeles where the alleged incidents occurred.
“This development represents a substantial advancement in my pursuit of complete accountability. Justice is prevailing,” Hay told NBC after the DA’s office confirmed it was looking into the case.
The producer also filed a civil lawsuit as a John Doe accuser and alleged he was sexually assaulted by Diddy in two incidents — one in 2020 and the other in 2021.
Hay later came forward publicly and did a series of interviews. In a conversation with Caribbean entertainment outlet ShockYa in October 2025, the producer said he wants justice.
“It’s about pushing for criminal charges. I want all Diddy’s victims to have justice,” said Hay. His full lawsuit is posted on the ShockYa website.
The producer told the outlet he had previously worked with Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and produced Rihanna’s first big hit, “Pon De Replay.” But he said being in Diddy’s orbit “was crazy,” and unlike anything he’d ever seen.
Hay alleged he was assaulted after being introduced to Diddy by C.J. Wallace, son of late rapper Christopher Wallace, also known as the Notorious B.I.G.
Per Hay, Diddy was masturbating into a shirt belonging to the late Notorious B.I.G. in February 2020, and “removed the shirt to uncover his penis.” Hay claimed Diddy insisted he “come finish him off.” The producer said he did not respond because he was in shock, and Diddy threw the semen-stained shirt at him.
In the second incident, Hay alleged Diddy forced him to perform oral sex on the mogul in March 2021. The producer said he was working on a remix project with C.J. Wallace, when the alleged assault happened.
In the police report obtained by ABC News, Hay alleged C.J. Wallace took him to Diddy’s location and two men put something over his head before Diddy entered the room and allegedly forced his penis inside of Hay’s mouth.
An attorney for Diddy denied the allegations. “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has repeatedly stated for over a year now, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a media circus. Let me make it absolutely clear, Mr. Combs categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone.”
Wallace filed a civil claim against Hay in November 2025 and denied his “wildly false and defamatory allegations.”
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence after he was convicted on two prostitution-related federal counts in July 2025. He is scheduled for release in 2028.
