Milli Vanilli Star Fab Morvan to Tell All in New Memoir

Fab Morvan is no longer going to keep running from his past.

The Milli Vanilli star plans to tell all in a new memoir, as he prepares for what his team is calling a “highly anticipated comeback.”

Earlier this week, Morvan’s reps at Big Machine Agency announced the singer and dancer is working on multiple projects, including new music, a documentary, performances in an I Love The 90s Tour, and an updated memoir.

The book, previously released under the title You Know It’s True – The Real Story of Milli Vanilli, is currently at the center of legal action against former publisher LA Tribune. According to Morvan’s team, the dispute includes demands for payment of outstanding royalties, the book’s removal from all platforms, and an end to its monetization and distribution.

An all-new, authorized edition of the memoir is scheduled to arrive this July. The updated release will feature a yet-to-be-announced new title, redesigned cover, additional chapters, and previously unreleased information about Morvan’s life and career.

“Returning to the studio and releasing my memoir has been an incredibly healing experience,” Morvan said in a statement sent to Urban Hollywood 411. “It all captures everything I am and everything I am ready to share with the world.”

The singer added about his upcoming music, “The EP titled Life Is Beautiful is a collection of six tracks created with my good friend and longtime collaborator, Stacy Grind. There was a real sense of fluidity throughout the entire process. With each track, I felt increasingly confident and inspired by the emotions the music stirred within me.”

The French performer climbed the charts as one half of Milli Vanilli. The duo scored several global hits in the late 1980s and ’90s, including “Blame It On The Rain” and “Girl You Know It’s True.”

But they were eventually exposed for not singing any of their songs. Rob Pilatus, the other half of the duo died in 1998.

The memoir announcement came as Morvan withdrew from performing at President Donald Trump’s “Freedom 250” concert series. As previously reported, Morvan told CNN on Monday, June 1, he no longer wanted to be associated with the controversial event because it had become too divisive.

The real vocalists on the Milli Vanilli songs — a group calling itself The Real Milli Vanilli — criticized Morvan in a May 28 statement for agreeing to perform at the gathering. The group is made up of Brad Howell, John Davis, Charles Shaw, Jodie Rocco and Linda Rocco.
