Eva Marcille Is Tormented by Tyler Lepley in Lifetime’s Upcoming ‘Buried Alive and Survived’

Eva Marcille and Tyler Lepley will star in Buried Alive and Survived, Lifetime’s upcoming fall movie about a woman’s desperate fight to survive a domestic violence nightmare.

The film follows the story of Alicia (Marcille), who miraculously escapes being buried alive by her ex-husband, Victor (Lepley), after he is released from prison.

A press release from the cable network explains the storyline as: “Determined to protect herself and their son Malcolm, Alicia resists Victor’s demands to reconcile and reunite as a family. But in a twisted turn of events, Victor traps Alicia underground and buries her…alive! Surrounded by darkness and dirt, Alicia pushes down the panic and fear of suffocating and manages to claw her way of out of her grave.”

Marcille previously starred in OWN’s 2022 holiday movie A Christmas Fumble, Tyler Perry’s strip club drama All The Queen’s Men on BET+,  and on The Real Housewives of Atlanta before leaving reality TV to focus on her acting career.

Lepley is known to viewers for his roles on Amazon Prime Video’s Harlem and Starz’s P-Valley.

Buried Alive and Survived is produced by Swirl Films. Abbey Sibucao, Ron Robinson, and Eric Tomosunas all serve as executive producers. The script is based on a story by Nigel Campbell.

The movie is part of Lifetime’s fall “Ripped from the Headlines” slate based on real-life crimes.

Recent summer movies under the banner include The Girl Locked Upstairs: The Tanya Kach Story; Gaslit by My Husband: The Morgan Metzer Story; Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story; Danger in the Dorm; Devil on Campus: The Larry Ray Story; The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story; and its two most recent premieres Amish Affair which debuted on July 6, and Sister Wife Murder which premiered on July 13.

Buried Alive and Survived premieres Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Lifetime.
