Jay Leno is recovering after a rough week.
The former Tonight Show host told Inside Edition reporter Jim Moret on Monday, Nov. 19, he fell down a 60-foot hill while taking a shortcut to a restaurant that was close to where he was staying — a Hampton Inn about thirty miles outside of Pittsburgh.
The shortcut, which was supposed to shorten his trip by a mile and a half, proved to be a bad idea.
“I broke my wrist, I lost a nail on my finger, and I’m all black and blue,” Leno said while showing off his injuries, with a patch over his eye.
“Well I hit a bunch of rocks, it was 60 feet,” added Leno.

Even though he was banged up, the 74-year-old star still did his comedy show in Pittsburgh three hours after the mishap.
The comedian also spoke with TMZ about this past weekend’s incident, where not surprisingly, he joked about it.
“The great thing about this age, is you don’t learn by your mistakes. You just keep doing the same stupid thing,” he said.
Leno has had a rocky couple of years, including when he suffered serious burns when his garage caught fire, which Leno brought up while talking to Inside Edition.
“I went to the Grossman Burn Center [in Los Angeles] and I got a new face. That’s a brand new ear,” Leno said while holding his right ear.
Almost a year after that incident, in January 2023, he was in a motorcycle accident.
