Jamie Foxx told his Instagram followers he is starting to “feel like myself” again, after months of speculation about his health.

The Ray actor was hospitalized in April for an undisclosed illness. He’s since been to rehabilitation and is now recovering.

“You’re lookin’ at a man who is thankful. Finally startin’ to feel like myself…it’s been an unexpected dark journey…but I can see the light,” Foxx shared in the Aug. 16 Instagram post.

The post featured a carousel of images of the 55-year-old Oscar winner leaning against a wooden poll, while holding a pair of red Crocs and wearing sunglasses, a crocheted bucket hat, and white T-shirt.

After expressing gratitude to “everyone who reached out,” Foxx ended his post by writing: “If you didn’t kno w…GOD IS GOOD…all day every day.” He included the hashtags #imbackandimbetter and #nobaddays.

Several celebrities sent the actor well-wishes in the comments section of the post.

His former The Jamie Foxx Show co-star Garcelle Beauvais wrote, “God is amazing and so are you!”

Tina Knowles wrote, “I along with the world pray for you regularly you are such a special man, such a gift to the world of entertainment. God bless you love, mama Tina.”

Actress and model Eva Marcille added, “Love you Bro! You’ve got this.”

As previously reported, Foxx shared a video post on his Instagram page last month saying he’s not blind, he’s not paralyzed, but he is grateful.

“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through,” he said.

“I didn’t want you to see tubes running out of me, and [I was] trying to figure out if I was going to make it through,” he continued in the July video post.

The actor was admitted to a hospital in Georgia on April 11. He was in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie Back in Action with Cameron Diaz when he became ill. Production was temporarily shut down on the film, but continued with stunt doubles and body doubles being used in place of Foxx.
