Yay, yay. Ice Cube just picked up another honor.
The rapper, actor and producer joined an elite club on Tuesday, April 15, when he placed his hand and footprints in the cement outside TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Ice Cube expressed gratitude to his friends, fans, and the media for attending the ceremony.
“Thank you for everybody that has showed up to hear a young dude from South Central Los Angeles get a chance to express how much I’m appreciative,” he said. “I’m living the dream.”
The hip-hop star, born O’Shea Jackson, was joined at the ceremony by family members, including his oldest son O’Shea Jackson Jr., who portrayed his famous father in the 2015 N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.

Comedian and actor Mike Epps, who co-starred with Ice Cube in the Friday movie franchise was also there to show his support.
The ceremony coincided with Tuesday’s announcement that Cube is about to headline his first tour in over a decade.
Earlier in the day, the “It Was A Good Day” rapper announced his Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude North America tour.
“I’m finally doing a coast-to-coast tour with a big production. I’m giving y’all something special, something real with the Truth to Power Tour 2025,” he said in a statement on Instagram.
Ice Cube, 55, got his start in the 1980s with gangsta rap group N.W.A alongside Eazy-E and Dr. Dre. N.W.A was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
In 1990, he released his debut solo album AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted.
Ice Cube began his acting career with the 1991 film Boyz n the Hood. He co-wrote Friday, which launched a hit franchise. He also had roles and produced the Barbershop, Are We There Yet? and Ride Along franchises.
His other acting credits include Three Kings and 21 Jump Street. He wrote and directed the 1998 cult classic The Players Club starring LisaRaye McCoy.
Ice Cube received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.
He is a founder of the Big3 basketball league.
