The TV One original movie Coins Forever has added Golden Brooks (Girlfriends) and Demetria McKinney (Saints & Sinners) to the cast, the cable network announced.

The two actresses join returning cast members Essence Atkins, Stephen Bishop, TC Carson, and Kendrick Cross.

The original film marks the final installment of TV One’s Coins movie trilogy. The previous movies, Coins For Christmas and Coins For Love, centered on the complicated relationship of Madison (Atkins) and Alec (Bishop).

“Over the years we’ve been happy to have the Coins franchise blossom,” TV One executive producer Jason Ryan said in a statement Tuesday. “To bring this trilogy to a close is bitter sweet, but we love that viewers have been invested in the development of Alec and Madison’s relationship.”

In Coins For Christmas (2018), viewers watched single mom Madison scraping pennies together before Christmas after the IRS froze her bank account and her boss fired her. While searching for side gigs, she was hired by pro-athlete Alec Darby who was swept away by her tenacity and they became friends.

Coins For Love (2020) showed a glimpse of hope for the two friends as they started to follow the path of their dream jobs. When Madison and Alec reconnected, both of their exes remerged creating a challenge for them to pursue a relationship.

Here’s the storyline for Coins Forever: “Madison and Alec are flourishing in their careers and begin to explore their romance. However, reality strikes as the two face new distractions and obstacles that threaten to derail the fate of their relationship.”

The film is produced for TV One by Swirl Films, with Eric F. Tomosunas executive producing. James Seppelfrick, Ron Robinson and Keith Neal serve as producers.

Susan Banks wrote the script and Tamara Bass directs. Urban One Founder and Chairwoman Cathy Hughes is an executive producer.

Coins Forever premieres in fall 2021 on TV One.
