Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new legal troubles after federal prosecutors expanded their indictment against him on Thursday, by adding more alleged victims and additional allegations.
Combs was arrested in September and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The superseding indictment includes no additional charges, but it does add two more alleged victims to the transportation to engage in prostitution count, according to the documents obtained by NBC News.
This latest filing says Combs “lured” female victims into his orbit “under the pretense of a romantic relationship.” It goes on to allege the mogul “used force, threats of force, and coercion, to cause victims, including but not limited to three female victims” to engage in commercial sex acts.
The document includes a claim that Diddy “dangled a victim over an apartment balcony,” and it expands the length of the alleged racketeering conspiracy — now saying it began in 2004, instead of 2008 — and lasted to 2024.
There are additional allegations that Combs and unnamed “others” were involved in:
“multiple acts involving kidnapping,” “multiple acts involving arson,” “multiple acts involving bribery,” and “distribution of narcotics and controlled substances including cocaine, oxycodone, alprazolam… ketamine, psilocyn, and methamphetamine.”
The mogul’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, called the new allegations “ridiculous” in a statement to the media.
“The latest Indictment contains no new offenses. The prosecution’s theory remains flawed. The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial,” the statement read.
The mogul is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail by three judges. His federal trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
While the superseding indictment does not name the woman who was allegedly held over a balcony, in December fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan filed a $10 million lawsuit against Combs in Los Angeles, alleging sexual battery, infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment, saying he dangled her from a 17th-floor balcony of his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura’s apartment.
As previously reported, Bongolan alleged the incident happened on the night of Sept. 26, 2016, when Combs arrived in the early morning hours and began “violently” shouting and banging on Ventura’s front door.
The fashion designer said there was a confrontation and Combs allegedly groped her breasts. The complaint said Diddy then grabbed Bongolan by her armpits, “lifted her up on the banister of the 17th floor balcony, and repeatedly yelled: ‘Do you know what the f–k you did? Do you know what the f–k you did?’”
The lawsuit said Bongolan tried to fight back, but Combs “immediately lifted her up higher and higher over the 17th floor balcony of Ms. Ventura’s apartment with only Combs’ grip keeping her from falling to her death.”
A legal representative for Combs released a statement denying the allegations in the lawsuit.
“Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have. Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims,” the rep said. “Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations.
