Fat Joe is spilling the tea on his weight loss journey.

The “Lean Back” rapper told Us Weekly he used the popular type 2 diabetes drug, Ozempic to shed 200 pounds, after tipping the scales at 470 pounds at his heaviest.

In the interview published on Tuesday, Oct. 15, The Bronx rapper joked that the medication stops him from over-indulging.

“Ozempic says you may only have two pieces of your favorite stuff,” he quipped.

Fat Joe, 54, said one key to his success is staying away from carbohydrates.

“I just try to eat everything with the least carbs as possible,” he explained. “So we try to stay away from the bread, the pasta, the rice. That’s the smartest way to eat.”

The outlet asked the rapper, born Joseph Cartagena, if he would be changing his stage name after his dramatic weight loss. But he was quick to share that his wife Lorena Cartagena won’t let him.

“My wife would kill me. She likes me being a big boy,” he said. “She hallucinates like I’m still that big boy. She loves that.”

Fat Joe is set to host the 2024 Bet Hip Hop Awards, which air tonight at 8 PM ET/PT on BET, BET HER, VH1, and MTV2.

He also currently has his own Starz talk show titled Fat Joe Talks, which premiered on Oct. 4.
