Fantasia took over the stage tonight on BET’s Sunday Best.

The Grammy-winning singer and American Idol champ performed the new single “Looking For You” on the gospel music competition series.

She also served as a guest judge as the top three — Joshua Copeland, Tiffany Andrews and Melvin Crispell III — competed for the title of Sunday Best, along with a recording contract and $50,000 cash prize.

During the episode, a close family member surprised each contestant and helped them choose a personal song. Then the singers hit the studio with Makeba Riddick-Woods to pen an original song.

Host Kirk Franklin announced which contestant was eliminated at the end of the episode, with Tiffany of Newark, New Jersey being sent home. The decision was based on scores from judges Erica Campbell, Kelly Price, Jonathan McReynolds, and Fantasia.

Since winning the third season of American Idol in 2004, Fantasia has been nominated for 12 Grammys, and won one award in the best female R&B vocal performance category for “Bittersweet” in 2010, according to Grammy.com.
