Chris Brown has issued a statement on Instagram, denying the claims in a $20 million lawsuit accusing him of rape.

“I hope y’all see this pattern of [cap emoji],” he wrote on his stories. “Whenever I’m releasing music or projects, ‘THEY’ try to pull some real bullshit,” Brown wrote. He did not explain who “they” are.

Hours later, he posted a photo of himself wearing multiple caps. He also uploaded a video of himself dancing to his new single “Iffy” with the caption: “Can’t trust these h**s kuz they iffy #iffychallenge #breezyseason.”

Brown’s posts came after he was hit with another sexual assault allegation. On Friday morning, E! News reported a woman filed a lawsuit accusing the 32-year-old artist of drugging and raping her in 2020, outside Diddy’s Star Island home.

The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, describes herself as a model, choreographer, and musical artist.

The suit says she was speaking to a friend via FaceTime while visiting Miami when she encountered Brown. The complaint claims Brown grabbed the woman’s phone and told her “he had heard about her music and urged her to head over to Diddy’s home on Star Island as soon as possible.” The woman says she went to Diddy’s property on Dec. 30, 2020, and saw Brown on Diddy’s yacht.

She claims the “Loyal” singer offered her a drink in the kitchen area, and gave her a cup containing a mixed drink. As they talked, “Brown offered her tips about starting a career in the music industry.”

Jane Doe says she was given a refill and experienced “a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness.”

The lawsuit claims she became “physically unstable, and started to fall in and out of sleep.” She alleges Brown took her to a bedroom, blocked her from leaving, undressed and raped her. The complaint claims Brown ejaculated inside of her and told her he was “done.”

Jane Doe says Brown contacted her the following day and demanded she take the Plan B  morning-after emergency contraception pill to “terminate any possible pregnancy.” The woman says she bought the pill and took it.

Her attorneys, Ariel Mitchell and George Vrabeck, told TMZ their client did not go to police because she was embarrassed. The woman is seeking $20 million in damages and claims emotional stress.

Over the years, Brown has faced a series of physical abuse and assault claims. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony domestic assault for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

In 2017, his former girlfriend Karrueche Tran was granted a restraining order against Brown after she alleged he “punched me in my stomach twice” and “pushed me down the stairs.” In 2019, he was accused of rape in Paris.
