As fires burn around Los Angeles from the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires, celebrities have taken to social media to share updates on the devastating situation.
Authorities say the fires have claimed at least two lives.
The flames are fueled by the powerful Santa Ana winds and according to the Associated Press, as of Wednesday morning more than 70,000 residents were under evacuation orders with many in the Pacific Palisades area of L.A.
The Hills alums Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag’s Pacific Palisades home burned to the ground. A source close to the couple told TMZ that the “entire family was able to safely evacuate earlier in the day to another location but are devastated by their loss.”
Before safely evacuating, Pratt shared a video on TikTok of the blaze with the caption, “Nightmare came true.”
Chucky and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Jennifer Tilly said she boyfriend Phil Laak are staying at a casino after evacuating their home due to the Palisades fire.

The Palisades Fire was initially reported around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone revealed in a media briefing at 8 a.m. that the fire has burned more than 5,000 acres and destroyed nearly 1,000 structures. As of this writing, there is no reported containment.
Meanwhile, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill took to Instagram to share that he and his family fled their Malibu home as “small fires” burned on both sides of the Pacific Coast Highway. Hamill called the situation “horrific” and urged others to stay safe.
Jamie Lee Curtis didn’t share any personal photos, but she posted harrowing picture from photographer Ethan Swope on Instagram.
“My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote and asked people to only post facts.
“It is a terrifying situation and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze. Neighbors have taken care of neighbors. We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it’s particularly shocking,” she continued. “Pray if you believe in it and even if you don’t, pray for those who do.”
In a follow-up post, Curtis shared: “Our beloved neighborhood is gone. Our home is safe. So many others have lost everything. Help where you can. Thank you to the first responders and firefighters.”
