Brandy Norwood and her daughter Sy’Rai Smith are returning to Lifetime for a new holiday movie.

The Grammy-winning singer will star in and executive produce a sequel to their hit 2025 film Christmas Everyday.

In the new film Christmas Everyday Again (working title), Brandy reprises her role as Chicago fashion designer Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a performance that earned her an NAACP Image Award nomination. Sy’Rai returns as Fancy’s younger sister, Belle.

“I’m so excited to step back into Fancy’s world,” Brandy said in a statement on Monday, Aug. 10. “Making Christmas Everyday was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled that audiences will get to continue this journey with these characters.”

Daytime TV legend Debbi Morgan plays the pair’s mother Evelyn and Robert C. Riley co-stars as Fancy’s fiancé Jaylen.

The cast also includes Kajuana S. Marie, Journey Carter, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Lamman Rucker, who will reprise their roles as Deena, Tia, Germaine and Richard. Gregory Alan Williams joins the cast as Earl.

The sequel will find Fancy preparing for the biggest season of her life as she works toward moving her thriving boutique forward, while planning her dream Christmas wedding to fiancé Jaylen, played by Robert C. Riley.

“But when mounting business pressures and the unexpected return of a reformed ex lead Fancy to shoulder every burden on her own, she unintentionally pushes Jaylen away. As Christmas approaches, Fancy must decide whether she’s willing to let go of the past before it costs her the future she’s always dreamed of,” according to the official description.

Urban Hollywood 411 spoke with Sy’Rai last year about making her acting debut alongside her mom in Christmas Everyday.

“I loved everything about it,” Sy’Rai shared on the red carpet at the film’s premiere.

“It was a really good experience to work with mom and so many other amazing actors and actresses,” she added. “I was nervous as crap though, I’m not going to lie!”

The new movie recently wrapped production and will premiere as part of Lifetime’s annual “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday lineup.

Christmas Everyday Again reunites director Roger Bobb with screenwriter Meg DeLoatch. The film is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios, Relevé Entertainment and Motion Entertainment for Lifetime.

In addition to Brandy, executive producers include Dr. Holly Carter, Ryan Ramsey, Stella Bulochnikov, Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi, Adam Shepard, Chet Fenster, and Brie Miranda Bryant. A premiere date will be announced later.
