A month after Extreme Weight Loss star Brandi Mallory was found deceased in Atlanta, her cause of death has been released by the coroner.

The makeup artist and dancer died in her car, in the parking lot of a Chipotle restaurant on Nov. 9. She was 40.

According to the autopsy report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office obtained by TMZ, Mallory died from complications of obesity.

The report said she had an enlarged heart and her blood work showed she was prediabetic. The coroner listed her manner of death as natural.

“It is my opinion that Brandi E. Mallory died of complications of obesity,” the coroner said in the report.

Trace amounts of marijuana and alcohol were found in her system, but the coroner noted that the substances did not play a role in her death.

A police report released last month noted surveillance cameras recorded Mallory entering Chipotle and returning to her vehicle after purchasing food on Nov. 8, but she never drove away, as previously reported.

The following morning, the owner of an adjacent deli notified authorities that a woman in a parked car had not moved for hours.

Mallory appeared on Extreme Weight Loss in 2014. The series followed people who had more than 200 pounds to lose and chronicled the 12-month journey as they achieved “life-changing makeovers.”

A member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Mallory said she lost a sorority sister to a heart attack at age 29, and decided she wanted to participate in a weight loss TV show.

She tried out, but was unable to secure a spot on The Biggest Loser. Eventually, she landed a spot on Extreme Weight Loss. She started the show at 329 lbs and her weight eventually fell to 178 lbs.

After the show, the weight began to return and she took up dancing.

In a 2017 interview with MadameNoire, Mallory said she loved to dance and eventually worked as a dance instructor for Dance Your Pounds Off in Atlanta.

“It’s the women I’m around when I’m working out with them and we’re dancing together and pushing one another and motivating one another. It’s the energy that’s in that room that I fiend for — literally,” she explained.
