Carl Weber is bringing two of his popular family dramas back for new seasons on Paramount+.
The streamer along with producer BET Studios announced the news on Thursday, saying The Black Hamptons has been renewed for season 3 and The Family Business will return for Season 7.
Based on Weber’s novels, The Black Hamptons explores the rivalry between two wealthy Black families living in the exclusive Long Island community of Sag Harbor.
The Family Business follows the Duncans, a respected family that runs an exotic car dealership by day while navigating a dangerous criminal empire behind the scenes.
“These series are a testament to the deep connection these characters and their worlds have built with fans season after season,” Paramount+ said in the announcement.

The renewal announcement did not mention The Family Business: New Orleans, a spinoff centering on the New Orleans branch of the Duncan family.
The eight-episode series premiered in January 2025 on BET+, but its future remains unclear. Paramount+ declined comment about a potential second season.
The crime drama stars Brandon T. Jackson, Lela Rochon, Yvette Nicole Brown, Benjamin Stephens Quincy Brown, David Banner, Orlando Jones, and Pooch Hall.

The Black Hamptons, Season: 3
“In this adaptation of Carl Weber’s novel, the Britton family faces high tensions with the newly arrived Johnsons in the upscale Black town of Sag Harbor, NY.”
The new season will include 10 episodes. The series stars Lamman Rucker, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Elise Neal, Brian White, Karon Riley, and Mike Merrill.
The Family Business, Season: 7
“The wealthy Duncans run their lucrative New York-based criminal enterprise with iron fists, and family always comes first.”
The upcoming season will feature 10 episodes. The season stars Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin Dewitt, Javicia Leslie, Tami Roman, Sean Ringgold, Michael Jai White, Arrington Foster, and Lisa Raye McCoy.
