BET is getting into the streaming business with Tyler Perry.

Viacom, the cable network’s parent company, plans to launch a streaming service targeting the African American audience this fall called BET+, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

BET+ will feature original programming from Tyler Perry, who is said to have a financial stake in the service.

The subscription-based platform is also expected to air a Will Packer-produced First Wives Club series based on the hit 1996 film by the same name starring Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton.

Additional content will come from other Viacom-owned networks, including MTV, Comedy Central and VH1, the Journal reported.

Pricing hasn’t yet been announced, but the service is expected to cost at least $2.99-per-month.

BET+ will face tough competition for consumer dollars from Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.

There’s also the Bob Johnson/RLJ Entertainment-owned Urban Movie Channel, a subscription-based video on demand streaming service featuring movies, comedy specials, documentaries and entertainment for African American and urban audiences, that launched in 2014.

Meanwhile, Disney is set to launch a highly-anticipated streaming service in November called Disney Plus that will include programming from the studio’s massive library of family-friendly movies and TV shows, along with films from Pixar and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

WarnerMedia, NBCUniversal and Apple are also readying streaming services.
