BET’s new talk show featuring author and political activist Marc Lamont Hill officially has a premiere date.

The network announced Tuesday that the digital series, Black Coffee, will premiere on Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m. ET across YouTube, Facebook Watch, Twitter, BET Now App, and BET’s website.

David A. Wilson, SVP of Digital Content and Studios for BET Networks, said in a statement about the show: “We are excited to have Marc host our new irreverent digital series. Marc is one of the nation’s leading voices on culture, entertainment, sports, and politics, with equal parts unfiltered wit and raw street savvy.”

Hill added in his own statement: “BET Networks has been home to me for many years, and I am proud to expand our partnership with this innovative series. I look forward to galvanizing the Black community on our platforms and encouraging dialogue that moves the culture forward.”

Hill will be joined on the show by co-hosts Gia Peppers and Jameer Pond.

News of the premiere date and co-hosts comes one month after the series was first announced at Viacom’s NewFronts presentation.

Hill was previously a commentator for CNN, but the network parted ways with him in November 2018 for controversial comments he made about Israel. Hill discussed his exit from the cable news net in an interview with “The Breakfast Club” radio show.
