Former Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Urban Hollywood 411.

Govan, 33, was taken into custody on Friday, Aug. 31, and booked into the department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station, according to Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

TMZ, which first reported the incident, said the arrest stemmed from an altercation between Govan and her ex-husband, former Los Angeles Lakers player Matt Barnes.

Barnes was scheduled to pick up the couple’s 9-year-old twin sons from school for the Labor Day weekend, per the couple’s child-custody agreement, the website reported. However, Govan arrived “five minutes before school let out” and put the children in her car.

Barnes drove up a few minutes later, and reportedly instructed the boys to get into his vehicle. The children complied, reportedly angering Govan. She then reportedly drove after Barnes’ car and tried to block it, prompting someone to call 911, TMZ reported.

Deputies took Govan into custody and allowed Barnes to leave with the children after he produced paperwork confirming he had custody for the weekend.

Govan was released Saturday after posting $100,000 bail.

The reality star and Barnes separated in 2014 after two years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in December 2016.

She is currently engaged to Derek Fisher, who played basketball with Barnes for the Lakers.
