Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story actress Arsema Thomas has landed her next major television role, joining Damson Idris in Netflix’s political thriller The Lords’ Day.
This week the streamer announced Thomas has been added to the cast alongside Harry Lawtey, Timothy Spall, Gemma Whelan, and Sophie Willan.
Idris leads the six-episode series and also serves as an executive producer.
The Lords’ Day follows former British spy Harry Jones (Idris), and is based on a 2007 novel by the same name from Michael Dobbs (House of Cards), who is a member of the U.K.’s House of Lords in addition to being an author.
The series finds Jones trapped inside Parliament after an armed siege throws the historic building into chaos. As the crisis deepens, Jones must rely on his training to navigate shifting alliances and life-or-death decisions while trying to save his country.
