Apollo Nida has had another brush with the law.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum was arrested and charged with domestic violence in Georgia following an incident with his new wife, Sherien Almufti — who is listed as Sherien Copes on the police report.
The incident happened on March 11, but made headlines on Thursday, July 25, when In Touch obtained the police report.
Copes called 911 after she “had just came [sic] home from a bar with friends and had three alcoholic beverages,” the police report said.

Copes told responding officers that she and Nida “were having a verbal altercation about how they were cheating on each other.”
She said Nida showed her “a video of her kissing another man.”
Copes then alleged her husband “pulled her by the hair and pushed her against a refrigerator,” which led to a “scuffle.”
She told officers she “ran outside and called for help,” but forgot her phone and went back inside, at which time Nida was gone.
Copes reportedly provided officers with “a surveillance video of the verbal altercation,” but the footage reportedly did not show any type of physical confrontation.
Nida returned to the home and spoke with officers.
He reportedly said he tried to take Copes’ phone from her during the argument. Per Nida, Copes balled up on the ground to protect her phone but he was still able to grab it from her.
Copes declined medical attention at the scene. According to the police report, she did not have any visible marks or bruises from the altercation.
Nida was taken into custody, transported to the Fulton County Jail, and released after posting a $3,000 bond.
Prosecutors charged him with one misdemeanor count of simple battery — family violence.
There was a hearing in June, but the court records did not indicate if Nida entered a plea. It’s unclear if he has an attorney in the case.
Copes told In Touch, “It was a huge blow out between a married couple that has brought us much closer since then. We have worked through our issues and have been going to couples therapy. The end.”
Nida and Copes tied the knot in October 2022.
He was previously married to RHOA star Phaedra Parks and appeared with her on the Bravo reality series. Nida also recently made an appearance with Parks on Married to Medicine.
Nida is no stranger to law enforcement.
He was convicted of identity theft, conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud, and was released from federal prison in 2019, after serving five years.
