AMC has canceled legal drama 61st Street starring Courtney B. Vance after one season.
The second season had already been filmed, but the network decided not to air it, according to Variety.
The series follows promising high school athlete Moses Johnson (Tosin Cole), who is swept up in the corrupt Chicago criminal justice system.
“Taken by the police as a supposed gang member, Johnson finds himself and his lawyer Franklin Roberts in the eye of the storm as police and prosecutors seek revenge for the death of an officer during a drug bust gone wrong,” according to the official description.
Courtney B. Vance portrays attorney Franklin Roberts. The cast also includes Aunjanue Ellis, Mark O’Brien, Bentley Green, Andrene Ward-Hammond, and Holt McCallany.

The series was created by Criminal Justice writer Peter Moffat and executive produced by Michael B. Jordan.
The producers of 61st Street are now looking for a new home for season 2.
The decision not to move forward with the series was said to be part of continuing cost-cutting measures at AMC.
In December, the network said it would take $400 million in content write-downs, per Variety.
Among other shows affected by the cuts at AMC — the psychological thriller Invitation to a Bonfire starring Tatiana Maslany; the comedic sci-fi series Demascus; and the sci-fi mystery Moonhaven, which had been renewed for a second season before it was canceled. TV Insider reports the animated AMC+ series Pantheon has also been canceled after one season.
