Former BET host Big Tigger will not be prosecuted in connection with a physical altercation involving his estranged wife, Alicia Brown.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute the ex “Rap City” host, according to court documents obtained by WSB-TV. The Atlanta news station reported this latest development on Friday, Sept. 4.
Big Tigger, whose legal name is Darian Morgan, was arrested in Sandy Springs, Georgia, on June 20, 2026.
He faced aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children charges, and was released on $10,000 bond the day of the arrest.

The charges stemmed from a May 9 incident. According to the arrest affidavit, Brown said Morgan shoved her into a door inside their home office during an argument after she confronted him about text messages with a female co-worker.
Police said Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye, leading to the aggravated battery charge. Prosecutors charged Morgan with third-degree cruelty to children because the couple’s 13-year-old son was home during the incident and allegedly heard the altercation.
The incident was recorded by a home surveillance camera, and TMZ published the video.
Morgan denied the allegations made by Brown.
“I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me,” he said in a statement. “For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life.”
At the time of his arrest, he hosted “The Big Tigger Morning Show” on Atlanta radio station V-103.
Amid a barrage of media attention, he announced he was stepping away from the station to focus on his family.
Big Tigger hosted BET’s popular music video and interview show “Rap City” from 1998 to 2005.
