The prison release date for Sean “Diddy” Combs has shifted again.
The Bad Boy Records founder is now set to leave prison earlier than expected, despite his reported involvement in a brawl behind bars.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, the music mogul will be released on Jan. 24, 2028. That’s a month earlier than the previous date of Feb. 23, 2028, which was moved up from June 2028.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix in New Jersey, following his 2025 conviction on two prostitution-related counts.

He’s taking part in a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) at Fort Dix that can help reduce an inmate’s sentence. Although some media outlets reported his credits for participating in the program were in jeopardy because of the brawl.
According to published reports earlier this month, the mogul was moved to solitary confinement after a “violent” confrontation with another inmate.
TMZ reported the fight began after the other inmate “dissed” Combs, causing the mogul to become angry. Insiders told the outlet Combs and the other man started shoving each other before throwing punches. The mogul reportedly “held his own” during the fight.
