The musical is based on a 2001 Oscar-winning film by the same name about a struggling artist in 1890s Paris.
In March, Megan made her Broadway debut in the production as Zidler, the charismatic master of ceremonies at a Parisian cabaret.
She was the first female performer to play the character in the musical and had been scheduled to continue in the role through May 17, 2026.
Megan, 31, did not give a reason for her early departure. Although the rapper poured her heart out on Saturday, April 25, and revealed she and NBA star Klay Thompson had broken up after nearly a year of dating.

In an Instagram Story, grabbed by Pop Base, the “Savage” rapper accused the Dallas Mavericks star of stepping out with someone else and said she needed a “real break.”
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be “monogamous”???? b–ch I need a REAL break after this one … bye yall,” she shared.
The Grammy-winning artist later released a statement to Page Six confirming the breakup.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward,” she told the outlet. “I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
