The Duncans are back and family loyalty is on the line.
BET+ recently announced Season 6 of Carl Weber’s The Family Business will premiere Oct. 23, with the first two episodes dropping that same day.
The series follows the Duncans, a powerful family running an exotic car dealership in New York, while secretly living dangerous double lives.

Ernie Hudson returns as family patriarch LC Duncan in the 10-episode season. The story picks up with tensions running high, and LC and his son Junior (Sean Ringgold) on the brink of war.
“I don’t know if I want to protect him anymore,” LC says in the Season 6 trailer. “He stole $140 million dollars.”
The new season will find LC and Chippy Duncan (Valarie Pettiford) at odds with Junior. They also make a shocking discovery — Roman is their son who was abducted at birth, according to BET+.
“As they navigate this new family dynamic, the theft of 140 million dollars and the death of a friend they hold dear, things get even worse when the dreaded text goes out, “Duncan Down!” the official description reads.

Returning cast members include Darrin Henson, Javicia Leslie, Tami Roman, Michael Jai White, Lisaraye McCoy, Arrington Foster, Brely Evans, Dylan Weber, Yadi Valerio, Bern Nadette Stanis, Ben Stephens, RonReaco Lee, and Deyshaun Tucker. Blac Chyna will also appear on the new season.
Based on Carl Weber’s New York Times bestselling crime series, the show is produced by Tri Destined Studios and Urban Books Media.
The new season of Family Business comes after the launch of spin-off The Family Business: New Orleans, which premiered earlier this year and follows the New Orleans side of the Duncan family.

Just before the new series debuted, Weber told Urban Hollywood 411 that fans can expect crossovers between the two shows “when it fits.”
“They’ve got a very, very outstanding cast in the New Orleans spinoff,” he explained. “But every once in a while, we’re going to spice some things up and bring some people down, when it fits.”
The author and producer is also known for BET+ series, The Black Hamptons, based on his novel by the same name.
Weber created The Family Business and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Nikaya D. Brown Jones is as co-executive producer alongside Trey Haley, who also directs.
Season 6 of the series premieres Oct. 23 on BET+. New episodes will follow weekly, leading up to the season finale on Dec. 18.
