SPOILER ALERT: This story contains spoilers on the July 13, season 7 finale of Love Island USA.

It’s official. One of the most scandalous seasons of Love Island USA has ended.

Season 7 of the Peacock reality dating series concluded Sunday, with host Ariana Madix crowning fan-favorite couple Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales the winners.

“I’m really happy that people were able to see our connection,” Amaya said on the episode. “I’m grateful,” Bryan added.

The two will split a $100,000 cash prize and perhaps, live happily ever after.

Amaya, 25, is from New York City. Bryan, 28, arrived at the villa from Boston.

Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen were the runners-up. Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley came in third place, while Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez finished fourth.

The season 7 Love Island USA reunion is scheduled to debut on Monday, Aug. 25, at 9 p.m. ET.

Previously, Nic was coupled up with Cierra Ortega who left the show on the July 6 episode “due to a personal situation,” narrator Iain Stirling told viewers.

That “situation” turned out to be controversial social media posts that were resurfaced, including an Instagram Story with a racial slur about Asian people.

She used the slur while sharing that she was getting Botox to control her facial expressions.

“I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I’m focusing on something or thinking too hard lol. I can also be a little ch—ky when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look,” she shared.

On July 9, Cierra issued an apology in a video she uploaded to Instagram after returning home from Fiji where the show filmed in real-time.

“I am deeply, truly, honestly so sorry. I had no idea that the word held as much pain, as much harm, and came with the history that it did, or I never would have used it. I had no ill intention when I was using it. But that’s absolutely no excuse, because intent doesn’t excuse ignorance,” she said.

That wasn’t the only scandal. Yulissa Escobar was sent home when fans uncovered clips of her using the N-word during a podcast interview.

The Miami entrepreneur apologized in a June 6 Instagram post.

“I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn’t trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn’t excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It’s tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use,” she wrote.

Both Yulissa and Cierra said they received threats after the scandals and pleaded for calm.
